H.E. U Aung Min Oo, Ambassador of Myanmar to Ethiopia, attended the Europe Day reception held at the Sheraton Hotel in Addis Ababa on 7 May 2026, at the invitation of H.E. Mrs. Sofie From-Emmesberger, the Ambassador of the European Union to Ethiopia, and H.E. Mr. Javier Nino Perez, the Ambassador of the European Union to the African Union.

During the ceremony, the Ambassador of the European Union to Ethiopia delivered a keynote address highlighting the bilateral relations and the evolving nature of current engagements with Ethiopia. He emphasized a commitment to deepening cooperation not only on a national level but also through enhanced partnerships with regional organizations, specifically the African Union (AU). The speech underscored the importance of multilateralism in addressing contemporary international matters, ranging from regional security to sustainable economic development.

The ceremony was attended by H.E. Ahmed Shide, Minister of Finance of Ethiopia and senior officials from the Government of Ethiopia, H.E. Mohamed El-Amine Souef, Chief of Staff of the African Union Commission and high-ranking officials from the African Union, Ambassadors based in Addis Ababa, Heads of Missions, diplomats, and other guests.

Mr. Javier Nino Perez တို့၏ ဖိတ်ကြားချက်အရ ၂၀၂၆ ခုနှစ်၊ မေလ ၇ ရက်နေ့တွင် အဒစ်အဘာဘာမြို့ရှိ Sheraton Hotel ၌ ကျင်းပပြုလုပ်သော ဥရောပနေ့ (Europe Day) ဧည့်ခံပွဲ အခမ်းအနားသို့ တက်ရောက်ခဲ့ပါသည်။

အခမ်းအနားတွင် အီသီယိုးပီးယားနိုင်ငံဆိုင်ရာ ဥရောပသမဂ္ဂသံအမတ်ကြီးက အဖွင့်အမှာ စကား ပြောကြားရာ၌ နှစ်နိုင်ငံဆက်ဆံရေးနှင့် အီသီယိုးပီးယားနိုင်ငံနှင့် လက်ရှိထိတွေ့ ဆက်ဆံမှုများ၏ တိုးတက်ပြောင်းလဲလာသော အခြေအနေများကို အလေးပေး ပြောကြားခဲ့ ပါသည်။ ၎င်းအပြင် နိုင်ငံအဆင့် ပူးပေါင်းဆောင်ရွက်မှုများသာမက ဒေသတွင်းအဖွဲ့အစည်းများ၊ အထူးသဖြင့် အာဖရိကသမဂ္ဂ (AU) နှင့် ပူးပေါင်းဆောင်ရွက်မှုများကို တိုးမြှင့်ခြင်းဖြင့် ဆက်ဆံရေး ပိုမိုခိုင်မာစေရန်၊ ဒေသတွင်း လုံခြုံရေးမှသည် ရေရှည်တည်တံ့သော စီးပွားရေးဖွံ့ဖြိုးတိုးတက်မှု အထိ ပူးပေါင်းဆောင်ရွက်ရေးနှင့် နိုင်ငံတကာရေးရာကိစ္စရပ်များကို ဖြေရှင်းရာတွင် နိုင်ငံစုံ ပူးပေါင်းဆောင်ရွက်မှု (Multilateralism) ၏ အရေးပါပုံကိုလည်း ထည့်သွင်းပြောကြားခဲ့ပါသည်။
