On 9 December 2025, H.E. U Aung Min Oo, Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to Ethiopia, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Ambassador Moussa Mohamed Omar, Deputy Chief of Staff of the African Union. The meeting was held at the African Union Conference Center and Office Complex (AUCC) in Addis Ababa.

During the call, Ambassador U Aung Min Oo expressed Myanmar’s desire to establish diplomatic relations with the Republic of Djibouti, as well as to enhance engagement with the African Union. In response, Ambassador Moussa Mohamed Omar affirmed his readiness to facilitate introductory meetings with the Ambassador of Djibouti and to discuss the necessary procedures for establishing bilateral diplomatic ties.

Following the discussions, Ambassador U Aung Min Oo presented a commemorative gift to the Deputy Chief of Staff.

မြန်မာသံအမတ်ကြီးမှ Deputy Chief of Staff Ambassador Moussa Mohamed Omar အား ၎င်း၏ ရုံးခန်း၌ သွားရောက်တွေ့ဆုံခဲ့ပြီး ဂျီဘူတီနိုင်ငံနှင့် မြန်မာနိုင်ငံအကြား သံတမန် ဆက်ဆံရေး ထူထောင်ရေး၊ အာဖရိကသမဂ္ဂနှင့် သံတမန်ဆက်ဆံရေးထူထောင်ရေးတို့အတွက် ဆွေးနွေး ပြောကြားခဲ့ပြီး Deputy Chief of Staff မှ အာဖရိကသမဂ္ဂနှင့် သံတမန်ဆက်ဆံရေး ထူထောင်နိုင်ရေး ဆွေးနွေးပြောကြားခဲ့ပြီး ဂျီဘူတီသံအမတ်ကြီးနှင့် တွေ့ဆုံဆွေးနွေးနိုင်ရေး လိုအပ်သည်များကို ဆွေးနွေးအကြံပြု၍ ကူညီဆောင်ရွက်ပေးမည်ဖြစ်ကြောင်း ပြန်လည် ပြောကြားခဲ့ပြီးနောက် AU Deputy Chief of Staff ကို အမှတ်တရ လက်ဆောင်ပစ္စည်း ပေးအပ်ခဲ့ကြောင်း သိရှိရပါသည်။
