A ceremony marking the 59th Anniversary of the founding of ASEAN, which falls on 8 August 2026, was jointly organized by the Embassies of Myanmar, Indonesia and Malaysia in Addis Ababa on 10 August 2026 at 18:00 hours at the premises of the Embassy of Malaysia. Myanmar Ambassador to Ethiopia H.E. U Aung Ming Oo and officials from the Embassy of Myanmar participated in the event.

Ambassador Dawano Kedir, Director-General for Middle East, Asia, and Pacific Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, attended as the Guest of Honor. Officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, Addis Ababa-based Ambassadors, diplomats, and invited guests were also in attendance.

During the event, ASEAN member embassies served their respective traditional dishes, with the Embassy of Myanmar showcasing traditional Myanmar cuisine. This ceremony marks the first-ever ASEAN Day commemoration held in Ethiopia.

၂၀၂၆ ခုနှစ်၊ ဩဂုတ်လ ၈ ရက်တွင် ကျရောက်သည့် အာဆီယံအဖွဲ့ ဖွဲ့စည်းတည်ထောင် သည့် (၅၉) နှစ်မြောက်အထိမ်းအမှတ်အဖြစ် အီသီယိုပီးယားနိုင်ငံ၊ အဒစ်အဘာဘာမြို့ရှိ မြန်မာသံရုံး၊ အင်ဒိုနီးရှားသံရုံးနှင့် မလေးရှားသံရုံးတို့ ပူးပေါင်း၍ အာဆီယံနေ့အခမ်းအနားကို ၁၀-၈-၂၀၂၆ ရက်၊ ညနေ ၁၈၀၀ နာရီတွင် အဒစ်အဘာဘာမြို့ရှိ မလေးရှားသံရုံး၌ ကျင်းပခဲ့ရာ အီသီယိုပီးယားနိုင်ငံဆိုင်ရာ မြန်မာသံအမတ်ကြီး ဦးအောင်မင်းဦးနှင့် သံရုံးဝန်ထမ်းများ ပါဝင် တက်ရောက်ခဲ့ပါသည်။

အဆိုပါအခမ်းအနားသို့ အီသီယိုပီးယားနိုင်ငံခြားရေးဝန်ကြီးဌာန၊ အရှေ့အလယ်ပိုင်း၊ အာရှနှင့် ပစိဖိတ်ရေးရာဌာန၏ ညွှန်ကြားရေးမှူးချုပ် Ambassador Dawano Kedirm က အထူး ဧည့်သည်တော်အဖြစ် တက်ရောက်ခဲ့ပြီး အီသီယိုပီးယားနိုင်ငံခြားရေးဝန်ကြီးဌာနမှ တာဝန်ရှိသူ များ၊ အဒစ်အဘာဘာမြို့အခြေစိုက် သံအမတ်ကြီးများ၊ သံတမန်များနှင့် ဖိတ်ကြားထားသည့် ဧည့်သည်တော်များ ပါဝင်တက်ရောက်ခဲ့ကြပါသည်။

အခမ်းအနား၌ အာဆီယံအဖွဲ့ဝင် သံရုံးများမှ ရိုးရာအစားအစာများဖြင့် ဧည့်ခံခဲ့ရာ မြန်မာသံရုံးကလည်း မြန်မာရိုးရာအစားအစာများဖြင့် ပါဝင်တည်ခင်းဧည့်ခံခဲ့ပါသည်။ ယခုကျင်းပ သည့် အခမ်းအနားသည် အီသီယိုပီးယားနိုင်ငံတွင် ပထမဆုံးအကြိမ် ကျင်းပသည့် အာဆီယံနေ့ အထိမ်းအမှတ် အခမ်းအနား ဖြစ်ပါသည်။
